Prosthodontist Ron Wang, DMD
Dr. Ron Wang is a skilled prosthodontist dedicated to restoring smiles and improving oral health through advanced dental care. Originally from South Africa, Dr. Wang moved to the United States to pursue higher education, earning his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Rochester. He majored in Public Health and Health Sciences, laying a strong foundation for his patient-centered approach to dentistry.
Dr. Wang went on to obtain his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where he trained under world-renowned instructors and developed expertise in comprehensive dental care. Following dental school, he further honed his clinical skills by completing a General Practice Residency at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center, treating veterans with complex medical and dental needs.
After residency, Dr. Wang gained extensive experience working in private practice as a general dentist and in the medical device industry as a medical science liaison and clinical educator. This unique combination of clinical and industry experience broadened his understanding of cutting-edge dental technologies and their impact on patient care.
Driven by a commitment to providing the highest level of restorative and rehabilitative dentistry, Dr. Wang pursued advanced specialty training in prosthodontics. He completed a rigorous three-year residency at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY, where he specialized in complex
dental treatments, including full-mouth rehabilitation, implant dentistry, and maxillofacial prosthetics. His training places him among a select group of only approximately 3,500 prosthodontists in the United States, or about 2% of the total number of dentists.
Dr. Wang is passionate about helping patients regain function, aesthetics, and confidence in their smiles. His attention to detail, combined with his compassionate approach, ensures that each patient receives personalized, state-of-the-art care.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Wang enjoys staying active outdoors, spending time with his wife, Allison and two sons, Oliver and Robert, reading, traveling, and exploring new culinary experiences.
