Paying For Your Prosthodontic & Restorative Dental Care In Lansdale PA
At Buxmont Prosthodontics & Restorative Dentistry, we understand that complex dental care can represent a significant investment. Our goal is to make the financial side of treatment clear and to help patients understand their options before treatment begins.
Dental Insurance and Out-of-Network Benefits
Buxmont Prosthodontics & Restorative Dentistry is not in network with dental insurance companies. However, many of our patients have out-of-network benefits, and our team can submit claims on your behalf so that you can receive any reimbursement available under your individual plan.
The type of advanced restorative and prosthodontic care we provide often does not fit neatly within the traditional dental insurance model. Dental plans commonly have annual maximums, exclusions, frequency limitations, and restrictions that may cover only a portion of complex treatment.
We encourage patients to think of dental insurance as a benefit that may help offset the cost of care, rather than something that should determine the treatment itself.
Why We Remain Out of Network
Dr. Wang and Dr. Chernow believe excellent dental care is built on the doctor-patient relationship.
Complex treatment may involve decisions about dental implants, restorative materials, laboratory procedures, esthetics, occlusion, provisional restorations, and long-term treatment planning. We believe those decisions should be made between you and your prosthodontist based on your individual needs and goals, without a third-party payer determining the treatment plan.
We are happy to help you obtain whatever out-of-network benefits are available. We simply do not allow insurance reimbursement policies to determine the care we recommend.
Paying for Care
Interest-Free Payment Plans
For appropriate treatment, we can arrange payment plans directly with our patients at 0% interest.
We do not use CareCredit, Cherry, or similar third-party financing companies. Instead, when appropriate, we prefer to work directly with our patients.
The specific payment arrangement depends on the treatment plan and anticipated timeline. Our team will discuss these options with you before treatment begins.
Complex Treatment Can Often Be Phased
For patients undergoing full-mouth rehabilitation or other comprehensive treatment, there may be flexibility in how treatment is sequenced.
Provisional and interim restorations can sometimes allow treatment to be divided into appropriate phases. In addition to their clinical benefits, this may allow treatment expenses to be spread over a longer period.
Clinical considerations always come first. We will not extend or delay treatment when doing so could compromise your health or the predictability of the result. When there is reasonable flexibility, however, Dr. Wang and Dr. Chernow are happy to discuss a treatment sequence that is more manageable financially.
HSA and FSA Funds
HSA and FSA funds may be used for many eligible dental expenses. Patients should confirm eligibility with their plan administrator or tax professional, particularly for treatment that is primarily cosmetic.
